Sometimes its the loser that wins

It was just a game
or so I thought
Until they announced the name
and I remember the loser fought

It all came down to one point
you take it you win
The opponent didn't want to disappoint
and thus was committed a sin

The ball fell outside the line
But the opponent displayed qualm
The loser didn't argue to say the point was mine
He showed grace and quiet aplomb

The winner takes it all they say
The trophy is all the opponent got
What the loser had nobody could take away
'cause integrity and dignity are not bought

What a deep thought. Heart wrenching composition.
